About the role

Overview:

Serves as a member of the Management Development Program (MDP) and participates in ten weeks of Core Training and one year of On-the-Job (OJT) training. Core Training responsibilities include participation in classroom training, observations of departmental presentations, interaction with senior management, peer networking, and working in teams on two group project assignments. OJT responsibilities vary by department and are assigned by the department manager. The position may be responsible for additional projects as assigned by the department manager or Leadership Development Manager-MDP.

Department Description :

The Asset Management product team leads the management of a diverse suite of financial products and services, providing strategic guidance and subject matter expertise to sales leadership, field teams, home office partners, and key business stakeholders. Our responsibilities include developing and delivering new products that align with the evolving needs of the Wealth and Affluent Markets, managing our existing product set, coordinating marketing materials and owning product-related reporting deliverables.

Department Responsibilities:

Product Reporting & Analytics

  • Own and deliver reporting requirements such as product inventory reports, allocation charts, benchmark charts, AUM and flow reports, and other ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Assist with competitive analysis to identify market trends and inform product positioning.

Product Marketing & Compliance

  • Maintain and update product-related marketing materials, including fact sheets, commentary, pitchbooks, performance reports, and fee schedules.
  • Manage the compliance review process for all marketing collateral to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Product Development & Governance

  • Support new product reviews and analysis, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and client needs.
  • Provide support for product governance activities and related initiatives.

Additionally, you will work closely with both Wealth and Affluent Market teams and collaborate frequently with members of our Asset Management team, including members of our equity, fixed income, and alternative investment teams. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build strong professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to seek, review, and implement feedback.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in Asset Management, Finance or Financial Markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and complete a one-year long, non-rotational training program while creating and adding value to assigned department. Receive job specific training, general training in banking, communication and leadership, and personalized coaching and feedback. Performance measures may include several objective test scores, peer and sponsor feedback from group projects, facilitator feedback, Leadership Development Manager-MDP feedback, Department Manager feedback, final assessment score, and year-end performance appraisal from Department Manager and Leadership Development Manager-MDP.
  • Core Training - Participate in ten weeks of training throughout the one-year assignment to learn banking, basic financial skills, technical skills, and leadership/interpersonal skills. Develop a solid understanding of banking functions, processes, and operations.
  • Group Projects - Participate in two group project assignments, working with a team of their peers to build relationships within their teams as well as with project sponsors, internal and external contacts, and senior management. Teams make a presentation to senior management at the conclusion of each project providing recommendations and potential project solutions.
