Job Description:

The Manager of Research Pharmacy Services will report to OneOncology’s Director of Clinical Pharmacy. An ideal candidate will be ready to partner with the OneOncology Clinical Pharmacy Services and OneR team to provide OncoEMR research regimen build expertise.  Candidate will accurately and successfully build required clinical research regimens identified by OneR network as well as meet the practice regimen component requirements. This process will require critical evaluation of research protocols and collaboration with the involved OneOncology departments and practices through excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities 

  • Acts as a liaison and resource for the OneOncology Clinical Pharmacy Services and OneR Teams, as well as the relevant practice, to build the required research regimens

  • Will demonstrate regimen build and clinical trial protocol evaluation expertise through accurate and complete research regimen builds with incorporation of necessary OneOncology Research and Individual Practice components

  • Manages the regimen build project by prioritizing and critically evaluating project plan and timeline

  • Triage and address any practice clinical concerns/complaints surrounding regimen builds

  • Serve as OneOncology expert as it pertains to research regimen builds within OncoEMR.

  • Assists the Vice President of Pharmacy Services and Director of Clinical Pharmacy and OneOncology Clinical Staff at corporate and practice level incoming clinical information requests

  • Acts as a liaison and resource to provide support for pharmacy technicians and regimen build staff at OneOncology practices

  • Support the OneOncology Pharmacy Committee by acting as an oncology drug resource

  • Serves as a OneOncology Clinical Pharmacy Services representative on committees to facilitate shared interests and relationships

  • Acts as Flatiron Health regimen expert by assisting with practice regimen builds throughout the OneOncology network

  • Assists the Vice President of Pharmacy Services and Director of Clinical Pharmacy with:

    • Corporate regimen maintenance for OneOncology by tracking and updating of National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and Flatiron Health (FH) regimens inside of OncoEMR as new drug approvals, updates and practice changing literature are released to support OneOncology Pathways within Flatiron Assist

    • OneR regimen build as new research studies are accepted into the OneR Network

  • Assists the Clinical Pharmacy and Operations Pharmacy teams with the Shared Pharmacy Services program, including but not limited to education for practices on the shared services model and performing drug switches within individual practice’s instance of OncoEMR.

  • Manages developing communication for all research pharmacy upgrades and/or changes within OncoEMR for OneOncology practices

  • Participates in the management of clinical projects directly related to drug regimen maintenance, as well as assisting in prioritizing and determining timelines for implementation of projects

  • Serve as a liaison between OneOncology practices, OneR team and clinical trial sponsor and Flatiron Health in to address any practice needs and/or concerns surrounding content of NCCN, FH regimens, research regimens and Shared Pharmacy Services

  • Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Key Competencies

  • Knowledge of cancer medications, dosing, and proper admixture with ability access resources as required

  • Knowledge of clinic procedures and operations

  • Strong people skills for pharmacy staff and practice interactions

  • Ability to use computers and software applications (MS Office products)

  • Support the OneOncology Pharmacy Committee with provides drug information
