As a technical lead in PayPal’s Enterprise AIML platform team, you will be customer-centric, strategic & analytical in decision making and laser-focused on executing at scale. You thrive on the challenge of building and optimizing platforms at scale, are deeply passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and are dedicated to innovation and market success. Your role will involve leveraging your extensive technical expertise and practical experience in AI/ML to lead substantive discussions with technical and data science teams, guiding them through the intricacies of functional definition, architecture, solution implementation, and integration within complex environments. With a proven track record in technical leadership, you'll be instrumental in driving high-quality products and ensuring the successful delivery of projects while effectively leading and mentoring team members.

We are on a mission to revolutionize commerce globally by connecting consumers and merchants with personalized shopping experiences. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter Senior ML Engineer to join our AIML Engineering team to help achieve this mission. This role will help shape the next generation of checkout at PayPal impacting over 400+ million consumers and 30+ million merchants worldwide by creating AI/ML foundations and capabilities that deliver a delightful and personalized shopping and checkout experience.

Your day-to-day 

• Design and deploy scalable generative AI solutions and productize ML models that enhance PayPal's ability to provide a seamless customer experience
• Ensure high code quality, performance, and reliability through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to software development best practices.  
• Drive innovation by researching and incorporating state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, tools, and frameworks into the platform.  
• Effective communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and alignment driving skills; able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner  
• Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

• 5-8 Years of experience
• Masters / bachelor’s in computer science, Computer engineering, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Information Systems, or related disciplines, with technical expertise
