Senior Data Analytics Associate - Part-time

Summary

The Heilbronner lab, in collaboration with other basic and clinical neuroscience laboratories, seeks a part-time (15 hours per week) data scientist to process and analyze neuroimaging data. This will require being responsible for using our data to design, create, and maintain analyses and computational tools in support of our research program. The goal of the lab is to understand the wiring diagram of the brain and how it is altered in brain disorders. This position can be onsite, hybrid or remote.

Job Duties

• Manage MRI data: Coordinate across labs to ensure robust data management and sharing pipelines consistent with required privacy practices. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of existing data, development and support of databases.
• Process MRI data: Ensure quality data processing pipelines for large anatomical, diffusion-weighted, and resting-state functional connectivity MRI data.
• Analyze MRI data: Perform specific data analyses on MRI data as guided by the Principal Investigator.
• Communicate MRI data analytic findings through the use of dashboards and data visualizations.
• Assist junior trainees on analyses of MRI data.
• Develop and implement data sharing plans for the above data types.
• Interpret complex MRI data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports in support of strategic goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.  Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement. 
• Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, neuroscience, or related STEM field.
• Master's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience will also be considered.
• Familiarity with the following: High performance compute techniques; Neuroimaging python packages; BIDS formatting; Standard neuroimaging preprocessing steps (alignment/registration/warping/denoising) Neuroimaging packages (FSL, AFNI, Freesurfer); Neuroimaging databases such as ADNI, ABCD, HCP
