Job Description

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Supply Chain team has multiple positions open for Procurement Agents (Level 2, 3, or 4) to join our team in St. Louis, MO.  Come join us and be a part of the future of Aerospace!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and executes supplier contracts in support of program needs

  • Partnering with Program and Engineering teammates to provide the best sourcing solution for our programs

  • The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills

  • Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required

  • Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities

Associate (Level 2)

  • Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply

  • Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements

  • Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements

  • Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance

Mid-Level (Level 3)

  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies

  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions

  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements

  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management

  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance

  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies

Senior (Level 4)

  • Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance

  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions

  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements

  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions

  • Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues

  • Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities

  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years’ experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management

  • 1+ years’ experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts

  • 1+ years’ experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer

  • Experience and/or training with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)

  • Experience working on U.S. Department of Defense contracts

Export Control Requirement:

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
