Senior Manager, Risk Management

Location Details: Remote, US

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

At GoDaddy, we are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager, IT SOX Compliance & Risk Management, to join our Finance team! This role reports into to the Director of Risk Management, and will focus on strengthening SOX processes, working alongside IT stakeholders, and enhancing control automation—leveraging technology, including AI, to optimize execution. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who will partner with IT teams to strengthen controls, identify process gaps, and drive programmatic SOX improvements. 

What you'll get to do...

• Improve the SOX program by advancing the maturity of IT SOX compliance processes and ensuring alignment with industry standard methodologies and regulatory expectations. 
• Conduct evaluations for SOX readiness in relevant areas, actively identifying control gaps and collaborating with stakeholders to address issues before launch.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to advise on risk management, process improvements, and automation opportunities to strengthen controls.
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate IT SOX compliance reviews, ensuring exceptional communication and efficient resolution of audit findings.
• Mature the SOX program’s control documentation, risk assessments, and reporting using technology and automation tools.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, encouraging a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and process improvement. 

Your experience should include...

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, computer information systems or related field.
• CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant certifications.
• Recent public accounting background from a Big 4 Firm, with at least 2 years in a manager position.
• 6+ years of experience in IT SOX compliance, IT audit, or IT risk management.
• Extensive knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., COSO, SOX, SEC, and PCAOB).
• Experience managing multiple projects, adapting to changing priorities, making decisions efficiently, and driving solutions independently while keeping leadership informed.
