We’re looking for an exceptional Corporate Accountant to join our fast growing Accounting Team. This role will be a significant contributor to the success of the accounting department. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of efficient financial close and reporting processes. You pay great attention to detail, deliver results under deadlines and work effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment.The ideal candidate is someone who strives for operational excellence. You invest time in defining and documenting processes to not only proactively address gaps but to also get ahead of new processes required to support Fivetran's continued growth.
This is a full-time position based out of our Denver office.

What You’ll Do
- Sales Tax Management:
- Ensure compliance with state and local sales tax regulations
- Conduct sales tax reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Accruals:
- Prepare and post monthly accruals
- Review and analyze expense reports for proper accrual recognition
- Assist in the development and implementation of accrual policies and procedures
- General Ledger Accounting:
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
Skills We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with sales tax compliance and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
