Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our equipment and machinery.
What You’ll Do:
- Promote and be a steward of our organizations Safety Culture and Core Values
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Ensure proper LOTO procedures and all work permits are utilized for safe maintenance operations
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues, and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of necessary spare parts and tools, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate and communicate with vendors for equipment and facility maintenance.
- Investigate and report all accidents, injuries, incidents, property damage and near misses in department.
- Perform routine safety inspections as required and maintain high level of housekeeping.
- Perform coaching of employees for recognition, reward, or constructive correction.
- Provide training and support to maintenance technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs performed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency.
- Provide back-up maintenance support to maintenance technicians
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
- Committed to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols.
- Experience in industrial maintenance planning and supervision experience
- Possess a recognized electro-mechanical certification.
- Intermediate knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and the ability to troubleshoot and program them.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the aluminum or manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in leading and supervising a maintenance team.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, management, and external partners.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant computer applications.
