About the role

We’re looking for Content Moderators (preferably based in Spain), passionate about fighting online abuse, using skills to review the User Generated Content in the Spain language, and flag misinformation across social media platforms. We are looking for reviewers who, apart from having native Spanish language proficiency and cultural competency, also possess English comprehension skills.
We are seeking human reviewers to join our team and help with the data labeling process for our Misinformation Projects. As a Human Reviewer, you will be responsible for reviewing and labeling content to train our machine learning model to identify and flag misinformation in online content.
If you’re excited about working closely with the client and other stakeholders in keeping the internet safe, and identifying and fighting abuse and fraud at speed, we’d love to talk. This is a 6-month contract position with option for renewal.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate online content to determine its veracity and categorize it according to our policy.
  • Accurately and consistently apply labels to content based on guidelines and training provided.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain consistency and quality in data labeling.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the labeling process and guidelines.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to ensure ongoing quality and consistency in the labeling process.

Qualifications

  • Native Language proficiency in Spanish is mandatory. 
  • Must also possess strong English language skills for internal communication. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. communications, journalism, information science) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to evaluate the accuracy and veracity of online content.
  • Strong research skills, OSINT skills are helpful.
  • Ideally, familiarity with the media landscape in Spain, different forms of misinformation/disinformation, including false news, propaganda.
  • Excellent knowledge in current affairs, especially about political trends and other topics of importance online.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in data labeling or content moderation preferred.
  • Social media community exposure and experience.
  • Comfort with the internet, using computers and software tools.
