The team drives and supports Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement across our Global Blades Manufacturing Footprint, and you will be part of a very skilled and proficient team of Lean Experts and Operational Experts. As you will join the Global Operational Excellence team, some travel activity is expected, but how much and when is very much handled through open dialogue within the team and the factories that needs supporting, and a lot of flexibility is applied within the role to also match personal conditions – but travelling is expected in order to ensure successful implementation.</p><p> </p><p>How to contribute to our vision </p><p>As a Senior Lean Expert within Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for driving the Global Operational Excellence strategy and ensuring global roll-out across the individual plants across the world. A short overview of the responsibilities tied to the role is as follows:</p><p></p><ul><li>Ensuring the continued maintenance of the Siemens Gamesa operational foundation – Siemens Gamesa Manufacturing System (SGMS). This entails yearly SGMS target setting, quarterly SGMS maturity assessments, SGMS alignments and SMGS content reviews – to ensure we have a continuous and relevant understanding of the organization’s operational maturity.</li><li>Monthly and Quarterly Capacity Constraints analysis across the organization, tied to overarching VSM creations.</li><li>Global and Local Lean Strategies – tied mainly to SMGS assessments and Value Stream Mapping (VSM’s) and Bottleneck analysis.</li><li>Global standardization programs, including Shopfloor Management, 5S, Kaizen, Takt, Line balancing, etc.</li><li>Data analysis and Benchmarking initiatives, including Best Practice identification, and Best Practice sharing across the organization.</li><li>Operational Support where/when needed, supporting the plants in optimization initiatives.</li><li>Training governance for our Lean University, including our basic, intermediate, and expert Lean learning programs.</li><li>Operational support where/when needed, supporting the plants in optimization initiatives.</li><li>Being the Global link towards the Local Operational Excellence Managers and teams, as well as supporting the Operational Excellence Community across the individual plants.</li></ul><p> </p><p>What you need to make a difference </p><p>Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are also looking for: </p><p>It is expected that you possess significant expertise and experience within Lean and have several years of experience running Lean improvement projects. It is also expected that you possess strong communication skills and are a proficient communicator across all levels of the organization – from COO, across Plant Directors, Operations Managers, individual operators as well as the broader technical organization. With your expected experience, you already know, that communication in many situations is the key to success. As a person you are preferably outgoing, and able to engage with many different kinds of people and cultures. It is therefore important that you possess a bit of patience, as the interaction with various organizations and cultures in some cases can be a challenge – but a challenge we in Global Operational Excellence is expected to cope with and manage.</p><p></p><p>In Global Operational Excellence you (to a high degree) get the opportunity to choose your own areas of focus from what interests you, which in return requires a personality that is self-driven and able to work individually as well as in a team.</p><p></p><p>It is not a requirement that you have experience from the wind business or composites. It is however a requirement that you have extensive Lean experience and have a solid track record of
