AI/ML Lead Developer (AWS/Azure/GCP) - Remote

 

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an AI Engineer to join our DNA (Data and Analytics) Practice.  While our headquarters location is St. Louis, MO, this position is REMOTE and can be based anywhere within the United States and will be working during CT and ET zones mostly.

Job Overview:

Machine Learning Development

· Maintains, as well as furthers, enhances existing machine learning modules.

· Keeps up to speed with the state of the art of academic research and AI/ML technology.

· Applies industry and technology expertise to real business problems.

Data Engineering and Pipelines:

· Understand business context and wrangles large, complex datasets.

· Create repeatable, reusable code for data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.

Responsible AI and Fairness:

· Consider ethical implications and fairness throughout the ML model development process.

Infrastructure and MLOps:

· Work with infrastructure as code to manage cloud resources.

· Implement CI/CD pipelines for model deployment and monitoring.

· Monitor and improve ML solutions.

 

 

• Build scalable software solutions using LLM’s and other ML models to solve challenges 
• Build enterprise grade AI solutions with focus on privacy, security, fairness.
• Build solutions that align with responsible AI practices.
• Understand how AI is interpreting the data set and use that understanding to build prompts that lead to expected outcomes
• Develop software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems and with machine learning technologies.
• Optimize existing generative AI models for improved performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain AI pipelines, including data preprocessing, feature extraction, model training, and evaluation.

 

• Hands on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP - any of these is fine. 
• Hands-on with at least one LLM (Llama, OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic). An orchestration library i.e. LangChain or LlamaIndex is good and something agentic like LangGraph is better. 
• 5+ years working experience as a technical engineer.
• Strong knowledge of different machine learning algorithms.
• Deep Learning: Experience in deep learning techniques and frameworks
• Machine Learning: Strong understanding of traditional machine learning algorithms and their applications.
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts and LLM Models tailored to a wide variety of automotive applications.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000.  Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
