GlobalGiving is looking for a Sr. Human Resources Employee Relations Generalist to join our team.

The Sr. HR Employee Relations Generalist will work with GlobablGiving’s leadership to create and maintain a positive work environment. They will serve as a consultant on talent matters, including performance management, employee engagement, professional development, benefits, and compensation. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as a coach, advisor, mentor, and support to staff as they navigate challenges.

They will work in cross-collaboration with various teams to understand how HR may better support them. The Sr. HR Employee Relations Generalist will use existing systems and survey tools to gather information strategically and uniformly. This candidate will support the employee disciplinary process, including PIPs, warnings, termination materials, separation agreements, and severance packages, and manage Employee Experience events, such as Town Halls, TinyPulse Surveys, etc., to ensure that leadership has the appropriate information, context, and notice to address issues in a timely manner.

The Sr. Human Resources Employee Relations Generalist will have the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies along with a thorough understanding of the organization's Race Equity Diversity Inclusion (REDI) initiatives, organizational structure, roles, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Primary Responsibilities:

Note: This is not an exhaustive list, and additional duties may be assigned.

  • 30% HR Support & Administration: The Human Resources Department (also known as “talent”) is the heart of the GlobalGiving organization. This candidate will contribute to creating and maintaining company policies and support employees with the interpretation and implementation; this includes research and synthesis of state policies as needed. This candidate will be responsible for processing payroll & 401k transactions, interacting with our PEO & EOR, and assisting with the performance management process. They should also be adept at developing presentations, communicating HR updates, assessing and improving procedures, and answering employee questions relating to the benefits administration of the HR department.
  • 30% Employee/ Executive Relations: GlobalGiving has a wonderful culture bonded by our mission. This candidate works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase transparency. The candidate will assist with staff town halls, be responsible for tracking and managing employee experience, employee engagement & satisfaction and provide counsel to employees and management team members needing assistance.
  • 15% REDI Initiative: GlobalGiving is committed to diversity within its workplace and is modeling its workforce after the countries in which we support.
