Job Summary:

As a Staff Accountant at Venture Solar, you'll leverage your strong accounting foundation and meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of our financial records. This role offers a chance to contribute directly to a fast-paced, growing company in the renewable energy industry.  We're seeking a motivated individual who is eager to take ownership of key accounting tasks, collaborate effectively with the team, and continuously improve our processes.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist with processing invoices, payments, and expense reports. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Support the accounts receivable process, including invoicing and collections.
• General Ledger: Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Month-End Close: Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and accruals.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
• Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses.
• Ad-Hoc projects: Support the Controller and other members of the finance team with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the solar or construction industry is a plus, but not required.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
