Job Summary:

The Data Platform Services team is seeking a Data Engineer with an inquisitive and analytical mindset to join our data engineering team. In your role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud-based data infrastructure, as well as designing and implementing efficient data extraction and ingestion processes. You will also be responsible for working with stakeholders to identify data needs, investigating opportunities to improve platform scalability, building generic solutions for patterned problems, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

With occasional guidance:

  • Design and develop performant data pipelines that support a variety of source system types (flat files, APIs, databases, etc.)

  • Troubleshoot issues with production pipelines and work with internal stakeholders to deploy fixes

  • Develop tools and services used by other teams to create, test, and deliver data-related assets

  • Provide administration support for our Azure Databricks platform

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years Python and/or C## in an OOP paradigm experience

  • 2+ years implementing cloud solutions with Azure, AWS, or GCP

  • 1+ years with SQL experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with REST data services, APIs, and microservices

  • Experience with Git

  • Experience with containerization with Docker or Podman

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks or Apache Spark with certifications being a plus

  • Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform

  • Experience CI/CD automation in GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps

  • GitHub profile link to some personal code examples
