The Work You Will Do:
Automotive Equipment Mechanic II (Marianna Shop)
This position will perform skilled work in the diagnosis, repair, overhaul and replacement of gasoline or diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and other parts and major components in automobiles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other related equipment.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
- Performs skilled work in the diagnosis, repair, overhaul and replacement of gasoline or diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and other parts and major components in automobiles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other related equipment. Field test vehicles and equipment to ensure the repairs have been satisfactorily completed. Repairs, changes, and balances tires on automotive and heavy equipment. Supervises Department of Corrections inmates crew performing maintenance activities (optional duty).
- Performs preventative maintenance work to ensure that equipment is maintained and is in proper working order. Performs periodic maintenance, repair, and preparation of seasonal equipment.
- Complies with all waste generation, storage, and disposal laws, rules, and policies. Assists in the maintenance of proper documentation of all waste generation and disposal activities. Elevates questions/items of concern to Shop Manager.
