Job vision
Joining Cutter & Buck’s Products team in a support role, the Apparel Product Development Manager is a key contributor who manages the Product Development Processes with the objective of “Development Complete” and ready to push new and expanded Market Winning Product Series. This position is located at our Seattle Fulfillment Center in Renton, Washington. This position must be available for regular onsite days as well as remote home office days. Weekly attendance on departmental in-office days are required.
Process Ownership and Accountability
Supporting Cutter & Buck’s designers and production teams with the objective of “Apparel Development Complete,” you will document, and continuously improve our Apparel Product Development Processes that enable the execution of our Apparel Product Series Strategy. To achieve your objectives, you must establish and maintain collaborative cross-functional relationships with Design, Merchandising, Inventory Management, and Sourcing.
New Product Design
- Apparel Product Lifecycle Management System: You will utilize and optimize the Apparel Design and Product Development Processes within the Centric PLM system as well as any other Design & Merchandising Team tracking processes to ensure on-time, quality product development dissemination throughout applicable Cutter & Buck design, syndication and planning teams
- Maintain development Calendar to ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-spec New Style Introductions
- Synthesize and report status of all discussions, change orders, resolutions, and products within the manufacturing supply chain
- Champion active tracking and dissemination of relevant new product production milestones throughout Cutter & Buck Design, syndication and planning teams
- Support New Apparel Product Design Process
- Participant in market analysis strategy sessions
- Assist designers with factory communication
- Awareness of trends on new fabrics, product categories and development direction
- Support Designers, Technical Designers, and Product Developers in the alignment of timelines and deliverables to ensure Product Design Process Completion
- Oversee Sampling and factory communication processes
Apparel Product Completion
- Achieve completed design of New Apparel Products on the timelines determined by Merchandising
- Partner with New Wave Group Sourcing to ensure on-time, quality product development
- Work with and be the voice of the designers to streamline core foundational development elements

- Style Bullet Points
- Factory Approve and Move Process
- New Factory Approvals
Commercialization
- Ensure all product information is completed and delivered to Sales Operations and Marketing to ensure new product introductions are on time.
Job Requirements
- Degree or 8+ Years equivalent experience in Project Management, Product Line Management, Product Development, or Apparel Sourcing
- Proven experience developing and documenting timeline-based processes.
- Proven experience leading projects to successful completion.
- PLM System (Centric) and PIM experience highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing, in-person, on video.
