Position Summary...
As the Sr. Director of Product Management and Squad Leader for InClub Member Experience at Sam’s Club, you will lead the vision and execution of innovative member-first experiences that transform how millions of members shop in-club. From digital engagement to frictionless checkout, you will own the end-to-end journey and bring cutting-edge solutions to life — spanning mobile, computer vision, and in-club insights.This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll define the roadmap, guide cross-functional squads, and deliver measurable improvements to engagement, retention, and member satisfaction. You’ll be a trusted voice for the member, translating complex operational challenges into simple, delightful experiences.
What you'll do...
Lead Member-Centric Innovation- Shape and drive the product vision for the InClub Member Experience, aligning technology, business, and operations around measurable outcomes.
- Deliver transformational initiatives including Scan & Go digital engagement, frictionless shopping experiences powered by cameras and AI, and checkout optimization.
- Within 60 days, you’ll define roadmap priorities and delivery strategies tied to measurable member and business impact.
- Take full ownership of high-impact product areas like in-club checkout, digital shopping journeys, and frictionless operations.
- By Day 180, launch multiple features and demonstrate measurable improvements in key KPIs (conversion, speed, engagement).
- Use AI and advanced analytics to uncover pain points, optimize flows, and surface real-time insights from member behavior.
- Close the testing-to-iteration gap with embedded rapid experimentation and validation loops.
- Scale what works across the club network and sunset what doesn’t.
- Leverage AI tools to support experimentation, log analysis, and journey optimization.
- Translate frontier technologies — computer vision, predictive analytics, in-club robotics, and automation — into scalable business value.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and design to move from pilot to scaled adoption.
- Coach and mentor a team of product managers to deliver high-impact results.
- Build strong relationships with engineering, data science, operations, and club associates.
- Earn trust through data-backed storytelling and clear communication at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of launching enterprise-scale technology products, ideally in AI/ML, automation, or physical retail.
- Strong fluency in analytics and data-driven storytelling — you lead with insight, not opinion.
- Experience owning end-to-end product roadmaps and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Familiarity with modern product frameworks (MVP, Scrum, Lean Startup).
- A natural leadership presence — you coach, mentor, and inspire, while building trust across teams.
- Enthusiasm for emerging technologies like robotics, computer vision, and cloud platforms.
- Curiosity, resilience, and a passion for solving the hardest problems in fast-paced retail environments.
