Position Summary
EPC is looking for a dynamic and energetic procurement professional to join our Global Marketing Procurement team. Our goal is to maximize return on commercial investments through strong business partnership and strong procurement acumen. This role will specifically lead the following categories: Displays & 3rd party Packaging execution, Co-Packing, and Fulfillment.
This position will have a hybrid schedule (1-2 times per week) at either our Shelton, CT or St. Louis MO office
Specific Accountabilities
- Responsible for development, stakeholder buy-in, and execution of Global/North America Marketing sourcing strategies to deliver cost efficiencies, improving quality/service, and driving innovation across category spend; Specifically understanding full category investments and ability to see macro/micro impacts by sourcing strategy
- Effectively managing supplier relations and performance process to drive the most value from supplier base; Being comfortable having challenging conversations; Leading supplier issue resolution process
- Be a driving force, inspiration and coordinator for continuous process improvements; help identify opportunities to increase efficiency and alternative innovations that can bring value to our stakeholders
- Execute both strategic and tactical responsibilities across multiple stakeholder groups with agile approach (Sourcing, Contract Management, Agency Management, Issue Resolution, Risk Management, Innovation, etc)
- Build strong internal relationships across multiple departments and across multiple levels (Marketing, Operations, IT, Legal, etc.)
- Understanding the supply market, costs drivers and other factors that drive cost/quality;
- Delivering value beyond cost reductions
- Interface with various members of Marketing and Operations team primarily at Manager/Director level, sometimes at the EPC LT level, including Heads of Marketing and interaction with the VPs of North America & International
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of Procurement Experience (3rd Party Displays experience is strongly preferred)
- Expertise in strategic sourcing processes specifically within role categories; Demonstrated understanding of marketing legal contracts
- Ability to manage and influence business stakeholders without owning budget; From junior to senior stakeholders
- Navigating through gray area – Ability to problem solve where process may not be 100% clear
- Storytelling; balancing needs of business vs effective management of cost
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability communicate across multiple levels of layers, Ability to manage conflict
- Change agent: Being able to navigate through changes internally along with driving change within categories
- Understanding of how advertising/marketing impacts consumers
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Master’s Degree
- Knowledge of the procure to pay process (SAP/Ariba)
- Ability to interface with Edgewell Personal Care Leadership Team (EPCLT) members
- Strong consulting skills, specifically in managing change, project management and presenting
- Knowledge of the other marketing services categories: Sales, E-commerce, Agencies, Media, Print, POSM
- Familiarity with outsourcing + insourcing, vendor management and service level agreements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including total cost analysis
Working Relationships
- Reports directly to the Sr. Director on Indirect Procurement and interfaces regularly with the Directors, Brand Managers, and Assistant Brand Managers
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required (10%)
The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $156,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
