The Role:As a Senior GCP Cloud Engineer in the Global Data Platforms Engineering SRE team you will join a teamof brilliant, f riendly and energetic engineers, developers, QA engineers and project managers who strive todeliver best of breed solutions to our customers. Key Requirements:

• Will be responsible for supporting engineering work for our multiple GCP cloud applications that are under migration or already migrated to and live in GCP.
• Plan, Configure, Deploy cloud solutions in GCP
• Automating the build and configuration of IaaS & PaaS based solutions in Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
• Supporting Release, Incident and Change management for our GCP applications, including DevOps and CI/CD pipeline work
• Evaluating and recommending suitable engineering strategies for onboarding greenfield and brownfield applications to GCP and optimizing them for performance and cost over time.
• Contribute ideas and insights to develop new technologies, Proof of Concepts, best practice, or
• procedures that are creative and practical.
• Good written/Oral Communication, Presentation, Interactive skills with team across geography.
• Flexible to work either independently or with team.

Key Requirements:

• Must have at least 2+ Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and 6+ year in Cloud.
• Must have Experience hosting an application on GCP using Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Composer, Cloud Storage.
• Good understanding of cloud design considerations and limitations and it’s impact on Pricing.
• Networking principles and protocols, Virtual Private Cloud, LoadBalancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, Google Stackdriver, etc.
• Prof icient in a modern scripting language (preferably Python) for automation of build tasks.
• Experience with Big Data on GCP – BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataf low and AWS EMR, Databricks
• Experience in API, Microservice and implementation of it in AWS and GCP using Container based stack.
• Prior experience working with container technology such as Docker/Kubernetes, version control systems (BitBucket, GitHub), build management and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness), and monitoring tools (NewRelic, Splunk, etc.)
• Experience with inf rastructure conf iguration management tools such as Terraform, SaltStack.
• Work closely with application/operations teams & resolve performance issues in cloud landscape.
• Any experience on elastic search, Solr, and other search engines is preferred
