Description
The University of Tennessee’s Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Housing Supervisor with Housing Services. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.
Length of Assignment: approximately 6 months but does have the possibility to go full time
Work Schedule: Full-Time Monday - Friday 7AM - 4:30 PM, on-call weekend, Saturday-Sunday, 7a-2p. Off day Wednesday when scheduled to work weekend.
Rate of Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour based on experience.
Qualifications
The Department of University Housing, Housing Services, within the Division of Student Life invites applications for the position of Service Supervisor III. This position is a working supervisor that directs and also helps supervise a work group of (7-17) Service Aide I's and (5-20) temporary seasonal employees. The Position: Assist with the work group hiring process. Conduct daily quality control inspections of assigned areas to ensure completion of work assignments and adherence to quality standards. Reports maintenance problems to supervisor as required. Fills in for supervisor when and where needed. Responsibilities: • May assist in the following but not limited to – Supervision of custodial staff and in training designated personnel Preparation of work schedules, special assignments Maintaining inventory controls and records for custodial supplies and equipment. Order custodial supplies, receive and verify supply deliveries. Train and motivate work group on custodial techniques, tools, equipment, and safety precautions. • This is a working supervisory position that requires performance of scheduled assignments and custodial tasks. • Performs other related duties as requiredApply for this role
