Role:
The Senior Financial Advisor will provide financial management advice, products, and services to Empower FCU members and the general public. This role requires expertise in all Empower Investment Services product lines and familiarity with credit union offerings.
The annual salary range for this position is: $73,486.81-91,858.51.
This position offers a competitive base salary, along with the potential for additional earnings through a generous commission plan.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
30% Client Account Management:
- Regularly review and monitor assigned client accounts to ensure optimal financial strategies.
- Recommend and document adjustments to client accounts, implementing them with the client’s consent and the approval of the assigned OSJ Manager.
20% Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Develop prospects from various sources including referral leads, personal contacts, current clients, and other opportunities.
- Identify new business opportunities to grow the client base and revenue.
20% Financial Analysis & Presentations:
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial analyses and recommendations to meet clients' financial service needs.
- Create and present customized reports, presentations, seminars, workshops, and business plans.
- Collaborate with other financial advisors to develop, validate, and implement effective financial solutions.
10% Account Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation for client accounts according to the standards required by: Empower Investment Services, the OSJ Manager, LPL Financial, FINRA, SEC, state regulators, and other relevant authorities.
10% Marketing & Business Development:
- Provide administrative support for marketing efforts, including developing and tracking cross-referrals.
- Participate in credit union meetings, events, promotions, and committees to enhance business development and strengthen community ties.
10% Professional Development & Compliance:
- Maintain certifications, licenses, and industry knowledge to ensure the highest standards of service.
- Demonstrate strong compliance skills in line with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain bondability and uphold the credit union's ethical and legal standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. See Dayforce (HRIS) Performance Management for Goals upon start in role, and annually.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience in financial advisory services, including client management, financial analysis, and/or sales development.
Education: A college degree or equivalent education/experience is required for this position. The candidate must hold a valid Series 7 or Series 66 license. Additionally, FINRA registration is mandatory to be considered for this role.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills:
- High-level proficiency in communication, both verbal and written.
