Role: Associate Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote. Must work in a location within the United States.

Travel: Up to 10%

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Director, Cloud and IT Operations

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience



about the role

The Associate Cloud Engineer will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing our cloud infrastructure. You’ll spend your days implementing, managing, and monitoring cloud-based systems while ensuring security, reliability, and cost-efficiency. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud technologies and eager to grow their expertise.

responsibilities


  • Deploy and manage secure and scalable cloud-based solutions while ensuring robust security practices are in place.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate deployments.
  • Monitor cloud environments, set up comprehensive logging systems, and manage real-time alerting to ensure efficient operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
  • Optimize cloud networking, including managing VPCs, firewalls, and routing, as well as configuring scalable and efficient storage solutions.
  • Enhance cloud resiliency by developing strategies for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Evaluate and manage cloud economics to ensure cost-effectiveness while monitoring and optimizing cloud spending.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and standards.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment automation.
  • Manage and administer Jira projects, workflows, and permissions to support team operations and efficiency.
  • Stay informed about advancements in cloud technologies to recommend and implement best practices.
  • Comply with and hold with utmost regard all compliance requirements to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
