Position Details:

You will build and analyze the deployment of Grainger's product pricing strategies. You are responsible providing pricing leadership support to the GIS Pricing, Sales and Marketing organizations. You will provide analysis to business leadership assisting those leaders to understand the drivers of pricing decisions. You will help create pricing strategy, conduct detailed cost and price analysis, and guide the implementation of pricing decisions. You will work in close collaboration with other parts of the organization including Merchandising, Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service. 

 

You will report to the Senior Manager, Custom Pricing Strategy. 

 

You Will:

• Develop pricing models to analyze potential pricing strategies and price opportunities
• Test, analyze and improve pricing strategies, programs and tactics
• Provide accurate pricing and profitability analysis to help guide decisions
• Analyze market pricing information and provide insights to leadership
• Partner with Pricing Analytics team to develop reliable forecasting models and program performance metrics
• Develop post-program analysis and provide recommendations to leadership 
• Develop reporting and pricing tools to allow field (Sales/Customer Service) to better communicate pricing issues to the customer

 

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years experience in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Sales, supply chain or equivalent experience
• Financial and analytical skills
• Proficiency with information systems, including SQL, Teradata, SAP. SAS and SPSS knowledge a plus
• Experience with reporting tools including Power BI
• Working knowledge of business strategies including customer requirements, Supply Chain strategies, product information strategies and marketing strategies
• Experience developing financial/pricing analysis and implementing changes based on analysis 
• Change Management skills
