They spend their days collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from a wide range of live sporting events. If you combine this real-time data with our 40-year-old archives, elite journalists, camera operators, copywriters, the latest in AI wizardry, and a host of 'behind the scenes' support staff, you've got all the ingredients to make it a magical experience! </p> <p>We are seeking a visionary Vice President of AI &amp; Computer Vision to lead the design, development, and deployment of next-generation Sports AI Platforms. This executive will oversee the strategy and build-out of advanced computer vision (CV) and machine learning (ML) solutions that power real-time sports data collection, athlete tracking, video analysis, and fan engagement products.</p> <p>The SVP will partner cross-functionally across product, engineering, operations, and commercial teams, building a highly scalable AI/CV stack on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. This leader will be accountable for technical excellence, innovation velocity, and building a world-class engineering culture around data, models, and applied ML.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Define and execute the company’s AI and CV strategy for automated sports data collection, video intelligence, and platform scalability.</li> <li>Lead the design and build of cloud-based AI pipelines utilizing AWS tools such as SageMaker, Rekognition, Bedrock, Kinesis Video Streams, and Lambda.</li> <li>Oversee teams developing real-time CV models for player/object tracking, ball trajectory, skeletal keypoints, and broadcast automation.</li> <li>Build AI/ML platforms that optimize latency, model accuracy, and computational efficiency under live sports conditions.</li> <li>Partner with product leaders to translate technology capabilities into new B2B sports data monetization opportunities.</li> <li>Drive best-in-class data quality frameworks, leveraging annotation pipelines, synthetic data generation, and MLOps governance.</li> <li>Recruit, develop, and retain top CV/ML scientists, data engineers, and platform architects.</li> <li>Collaborate with clients, federations, and ecosystem partners on adoption of automated data capture solutions.</li> </ul> <p><br/><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>15+ years of leadership experience in AI/ML, with at least 7+ years leading CV-centric platforms at scale.</li> <li>Proven experience scaling cloud-native architectures on AWS, including real-time ingestion, training, deployment, and monitoring of ML models.</li> <li>Deep expertise in computer vision methods (detection, tracking, segmentation, multimodal models).</li> <li>Strong command of ML Ops frameworks (SageMaker, Kubeflow, MLFlow, Ray) and modern data pipelines.</li> <li>Background working in sports technology, broadcast, or real-time tracking systems preferred.</li> <li>Track record of leading large-scale technical organizations (50+ engineers/scientists).</li> <li>Strong P&amp;L understanding and ability to align AI investments with business growth objectives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired traits:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Visionary yet execution-focused leader.</li> <li>Comfortable operating in fast-growth, high-stakes sports/media environments.</li> <li>Exceptional communicator and executive stakeholder manager.</li> <li>Passion for sports, technology, and transforming live experiences through AI</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why work at Stats Perform?</strong>  </p> <p><strong>We love sports, but we love diverse thinking more!</strong>  </p> <p>We know that diversity brings creativity, so we invite people from all backgrounds to join us. At Stats Perform you can make a difference, by using your skills and experience every day, you'll feel valued
