Software Architect (Greenfield Development)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Architect with a strong background in custom, greenfield development heavily utilizing Microsoft technologies. As a Software Architect, you will play a critical role in estimating, designing, and deploying software solutions, ensuring their scalability, performance, and reliability. This role will collaborate will business development, delivery management and technical teams, including developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders, to translate business requirements into robust, and scalable software architectures.

Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect and design software solutions: Develop high-level software architecture designs, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Open-Source technology experience: Utilization and architecture of a variety of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Node.JS.
• Database exposure: Hands on experience working with a variety of database environments.

• Strong understanding of cloud development environments, (Azure primarily, AWS a plus) impacts of developing, integration and deployment of solutions into these environments. Knowledge of architecting solutions that are mindful of the cost associated with development within the cloud environment, security and overall reliability.

• Work closely with developers, scrum masters, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, define technical solutions, and the building of aligned solutions.

• Act as a technical leader and provide guidance to the development team throughout the software development life cycle, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices and Microsoft and applicable open system technology standards.

• Ability to design solutions and POCs to guide development teams through technical solution execution. Enthusiasm and interest in maintaining connection to hands on execution.

• Conduct regular code and architectural reviews to ensure compliance with architectural guidelines, performance optimizations, and security standards.

• Work to minimize performance bottlenecks, by conducting performance analysis, and providing recommendations for optimizing software solutions.

• Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Microsoft technologies, evaluating their applicability to existing systems and proposing innovative solutions where appropriate.

• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and guidelines, to ensure clear understanding and maintainability of the software solution.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, promoting best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Actively participate in the facilitation of technical solution conversations with groups of varied size and location both planned and ad Hoc.

• Ability to interpret requirements from business and technical stakeholders in a variety of formats, such as but not limited to oral presentations, virtual team meetings and joint application development sessions.

• Possess deep knowledge and experience in Microsoft technologies, frameworks, and tools, including but not limited to .NET Core. C#, Azure, SQL Server, and Visual Studio.
• Exhibit aptitude in accessing new technologies to make recommendations for organizational and solution-based usage within the SysLogic environment and for clients.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 10 years of increasing complexity/responsibility or experience architecting and designing 3+ mid to large scale progressive and relevant technical implementations. (Greenfield solution experience highly desired.)
• Proven experience as a Software Architect, with a strong focus on Microsoft core technologies.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies such as .NET Core, C#, Visual Studio, React, AngularJS and a variety of database environments.
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance, and reliable software solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
