Job Description

Overview: Lead/Support the continuous operation within the AbbVie Bioscience Lab Irvine Automation and Engineering Group.

Responsibilities:

• The incumbent is responsible for complying with AbbVie policies/standards, plant procedures, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cGMP regulations and requirements.
• Acts as the lead technical expert for Automation Applications, Process Control and Manufacturing Execution Systems. Maintains system availability, Monitor and evaluate systems performance, and works with stakeholders and users to ensure that service objectives are met.
• Responsible for administration of Operation Technology (OT) equipment and account recertification.
• Monitors, ensures compliance, and conforms to all regulatory and company mandates.
• Provides guidance, technical advice, planning and project management both within the group, global automation, and with outside consultants and vendors.
• Project management - tasks require to establish project management techniques in monitoring, reporting and controlling projects according to size, criticality and established priorities and meet budget financial cost.
• Validation - evaluates projects needs to determine validation activities. Process all assigned system changes according to established change control procedures to maintain validation status.
• Troubleshooting – automation engineer IV performs hardware and software troubleshooting to all systems assigned to him.
• Required Computer Platforms Experience - Factory Talk applications (View, Asset Centre, Admin Console, etc.), KepServerEX, OSI PI system (ICU, AF, Vision, RtReports, etc.), Proficy iFix.
• Preferred
