Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Economic Damages & Valuations team.  This is a unique opportunity for a highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to apply their economics, finance and accounting knowledge across a variety of different projects.
 

As a Financial Analyst on the Economic Damages & Valuations Team, your responsibilities will extend beyond those of traditional Financial Analysts. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of economics, accounting, and finance concepts but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks. In this role, you'll work on high‑impact litigation matters across a wide range of industries, applying your expertise in evaluating economic damages. You’ll assist with day‑to‑day project management and client communications across multiple engagements, offering variety, pace, and exposure to challenging cases. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys analytical work and wants to deepen their expertise in economic damages methodologies. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attends orientation training.
  • Conducts tasks assigned by Forensic Economists, including:
    • Basic entry of financial statement, tax return, and transactional data into firm templates.
    • Basic input financial statement, tax return, and transactional data.
    • Reviewing and summarizing: Discovery responses, deposition transcripts, and employment and earnings records.
    • Review and analyze reports of opposing damages experts.
    • Managing damages analyses, including determining appropriate methodologies and building and reviewing financial models 
    • In depth research across various industries and topics.
    • Basic report drafting.
    • Preparation of data for demonstrative tables, charts, and graphs.
    • Document organization.
    • Working with experts in other disciplines.  
  • Attends internal training events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by managers or others.
  • Utilizes technology and internal resources to drive efficiency in daily workflows and support broader team initiatives.
  • Acts as a shared resource, demonstrating strong curiosity and willingness to expand knowledge in areas such as business valuations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field with 3+ years of experience
  • Internet Software; Proficient in Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); and Presentation software (PowerPoint).
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills. 
  • Able to meet deadlines while being detail oriented. 
  • Strong independent work ethic and leadership skills and qualities. 
  • Exceptional communication skills to support and solve our client’s questions and requests.
