The Role

The Talent Acquisition function at Thornton Tomasetti is a strategic partner to the business, focused on leveraging leading technology and innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent across our global offices.

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, shaping hiring strategies and delivering high-impact talent solutions. You will lead complex, full-cycle recruitment efforts, proactively engage top-tier talent, and play a key role in building diverse, high-performing teams. This role is critical in driving business growth while delivering best-in-class experience for both hiring managers and candidates.

We are a self-sourcing Talent Acquisition team, proactively identifying and engaging exceptional talent to support our rapidly growing engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with senior business leaders to define hiring strategies aligned with workforce planning and business objectives

  • Act as a strategic advisor on talent market trends, competitor insights, and hiring best practices

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for complex and senior-level roles across the U.S.

  • Manage and optimize the use of our applicant tracking system (Workday)

  • Drive CRM strategy and candidate engagement through automation and AI using our Phenom platform

  • Proactively source and build pipelines of high-quality, passive candidates

  • Deliver a market-leading experience for candidates and hiring managers at every stage of the process

  • Influence and guide stakeholders through hiring decisions, ensuring quality and consistency

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to enhance processes, systems, and overall recruiting effectiveness

  • Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate

What You’ll Bring

  • Significant experience in Talent Acquisition or recruiting, with a focus on complex or senior-level hiring

  • Proven track record of direct sourcing and successfully closing high-quality candidates (in-house or consultancy)

  • Strong understanding of Applicant Tracking Systems, ideally Workday Recruiting, and CRM tools

  • Ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders and influence decision-making

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage insights to inform hiring strategies

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments preferred

Compensation

The rate for this position generally is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
