TITLE:                   Registered Nurse Supervisor

FLSA STATUS:      Non-Exempt, Full Time

SCHEDULE:          Monday - Friday, 11PM - 7AM

WAGE RATE:        $48 - 49 per hour, based on experience

SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $1.50 per hour

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The RN Supervisor is responsible for the overall nursing care/service for Radford Green on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls, as indicated.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing staff on his/her shift.
• Makes multiple rounds, on all floors, during shift to assure proper care and the maintenance of a safe, clean resident environment.
• Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated. 
• Assists in infection control, safety and pharmacy rounds and audits.
• Assists in following up on Pharmacy and Dietitian recommendations.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Facilitates admissions and discharges in both Admissions and Nursing department(s).
• Assists with orientation of nursing personnel and coaching/discipline of staff, as necessary.
• Conducts in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Current RN License from the State of IL
• Six month of nursing experience in long term care setting preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting; must be able to stand/walk for up to 70% of the workday; must be able to lift, transfer, turn and position residents weighing up to 125 lbs. unassisted, or with the assistance of one for a resident weighing over 125 lbs. May be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.
