Overview
Scope of responsibility:
The Sr. Specialist – Supplier Relationship Management position will support the operations and development of the Supplier Relationship Management Center of Excellence (CoE) reporting to the Principal Team Leader – Supplier Relationship Management. They will support the development, piloting, documentation, and execution of a comprehensive supplier relationship strategy to provide consistency in supplier onboarding, performance and risk management, supplier segmentation, and contractual obligations. They will with collaborate with business stakeholders, legal and other areas of procurement to gather risk parameters, performance/SLA metrics, conduct industry research for benchmarking vendor metrics, manage vendor contracts, provide financial reporting and coordinate purchasing activities, while ultimately having ownership of the relationship strategy for a limited number of strategic vendors. They may also provide support for new tools and processes as part of the organization-wide launch of the Enterprise Supplier Management Program.
Team / stakeholder interaction:
This position will support the Principal Team Leader – Supplier Relationship Management to deliver value for the organization. They will also interact and manage relationships with stakeholders who own vendor relationships across Chick-fil-A as well as a limited number of strategic vendor partners.
Work Complexity & variability:
This position will assist with all elements of the Supplier Relationship Management strategy and should demonstrate competent technical depth in specific categories/departments/ suppliers. The Sr. Specialist should be proficient in project management.
Effective Leadership Characteristics:
This position requires the ability to build strong relationships and provide influence without direct authority.
Autonomy & Decision Making:
This role performs under supervision but operates with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decisions. The PL will have autonomy to leader some project independently but will sometimes confer with supervisor on unusual matters for assistance or awareness and is expected to escalate project risks and issues to supervisor. This role will look for opportunities for improvement and make recommended changes.

Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership and assist with continuous improvement in the development of the Supplier Relationship Management framework and Center of Excellence
- Responsible for executing the supplier relationship management strategy for a limited number of vendors within a category/department, including but not limited to:

- Supplier segmentation
- Supplier qualification research and decisioning
- Supplier performance management (coordination, data aggregation, insight development and collaboration)
- Supplier relationship reporting, survey execution and aggregation, coordination, and communication
- Supporting the analytical and reporting needs SRM categories, as needed
- Support, design, and coordination of various supplier events
- Conduct research on relevant industries, vendors, and risk trends
- Provide support, as needed, for tools and processes rolled out as part of the Enterprise Supplier Management PRogram
- Support SRM CoE as needed to conduct ad-hoc assessments and assignments
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement, Vendor Management, Supplier Relationship Management or Related Business Experience
- General understanding of components and significance of Supplier Relationship Management. Works alongside and understands the interdependence of legal, business stakeholders, and other areas of the procurement team
- Direct experience working in supplier relationship management and/or building out a new function
- Knowledge: supplier management, supplier risk mitigation, negotiation, performance indicators, use of MS suite of tools
- Skills: systemic thinking, strong analytical and business acumen, problem solving, ability to effectively influence, superb oral and written communication, project management, stakeholder management.
- Abilities: Mature and seasoned understanding of business, ability to learn quickly and gain effective orientation and understanding of concepts and issues, effective EQ and self-awareness, ability to connect well at multiple levels and cultivate trusted advisor relationships across the business and with suppliers
