Department Overview

The Company Financial Planning & Analysis (CFP&A) team tracks and manages PG&E’s overall financial performance and sits at the center of everything that impacts PG&E’s earnings and cash flow. The CFP&A team manages the in-year forecast and catch-back plans for Earnings Per Share (a STIP KPI), Operating Cash Flow (a STIP KPI), and Greater Affordability (an LTIP KPI), all of which are reviewed monthly with the CEO, EOT, and broader officer team as part of the L1 Finance Reviews. The CFP&A team also owns the multi-year financial plan, referred to as the Data Book, that is printed and goes to the board of directors twice a year, and covers everything that can impact PG&E’s financial plan (examples being the company’s stock price assumptions, total Functional Area spend, how much equity and debt we need to finance, and what is being targeted for customer bills and credit metrics). Finally, the team plays a central role in supporting the Investor Relations team in preparing numbers, the press release, and the story that flows directly into what PG&E communicates to investors on a quarterly basis.

Position Summary

This Senior Manager position manages a team that produces the monthly L1 Finance Book (in partnership with Business Finance & Planning), PG&E’s monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year GAAP and Core Earnings Per Share forecasts, and chairs the company’s Non-Core Committee. This position also oversees the production of several reports that go to the Board of Directors, including the Enterprise Performance Highlights (EPH) package and the Core Financial Update. This position provides an opportunity to meet monthly with, and provide recommendations to, the Utility CFO (Controller) and the Corporation CFO on catch-back plans, forecast decision, and strategies on how to achieve our earnings guidance (no more, no less).

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA approximately once per week or more, depending on business need.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
