ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Senior Staff Video Distribution Engineer builds and maintains cutting-edge compression and digital distribution platforms for one of the premier national broadcasters.

At FOX, you will have full permission to bring your best tech game to invent and build technology that delivers a high-quality viewer experience to millions across FOX networks, digital platforms, mobile applications, websites, and licensing partnerships.

You will leverage Machine Learning (ML) and AI-driven insights to optimize video quality, predict system failures before they occur, and automate the distribution of content across a complex global landscape.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering & Support

• Acts as Tier 1 support for all on-air broadcast systems

• Creates standard operating procedures and documentation to support the operations team in a 24/7 environment

• Builds and maintains FOX’s compression and transport infrastructure

• Conducts lab, performance, and system tests and prototype efforts to continually evolve FOX’s architecture and infrastructure

Collaboration & Partnerships

• Supports the Media Control Center in day-to-day operations and assists users with technical issues or concerns
  Partners with Engineering and Standards & Advanced Technology teams to develop groundbreaking technology solutions

• Collaborates with operations teams and third-party vendors to develop strategy, product development, and road maps

Continuous Improvement

• Uses data to drive informed business decisions and continuously improve performance

• Analyzes dashboards to optimize system security and testing, reduce bugs, and accelerate product delivery

• Prioritizes Objectives and Key Results to motivate and align team efforts

Development

• Fosters a culture of continuous learning and technical growth
