Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join University Health Services (UHS) in our busy, team-oriented Acute Care Clinic.
The Acute Care Clinic is designed to deliver excellent, effective, efficient healthcare to undergraduate and graduate students at UO who are ill or injured. The clinic is staffed by medical providers, registered nurses, and medical assistants working together with a goal to get students back to their academics and activities safely and efficiently.
The Acute Care Clinic functions within the broader Medical Services team, which also includes Primary Care, Sports Medicine, Psychiatry, and Specialty Care. UHS also has Counseling, Physical Therapy, Dental, Pharmacy, and Diagnostic Services teams. Consequently, there is a high level of support and collegiality for the staff in the Acute Care Clinic.
This position will serve as a member of the UHS clinical staff, a group of nurses and medical assistants who are friendly, smart, kind, supportive, and focused on great patient care. The position will report to the Medical Director.
This position requires the successful completion of a criminal background check and routine screening of Medicaid and Medicare Exclusion Lists. Employee loses eligibility for employment if on the List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) and/or System of Award Management (SAM). In addition, employees must follow Compliance with UHS policies regarding tuberculosis screening, measles and mumps (MMR), seasonal flu, hepatitis B, and other immunization requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Possession of a valid Oregon Registered Professional Nurse License at the time of appointment, or ability to obtain by the agreed upon start date of employment

Preferred Qualifications
• Two years’ experience working as a registered nurse
• Experience as a clinical nurse within an outpatient care setting
• Experience working in a college health care setting
• Experience working with standing orders an
