Position: Education Technician III � Special Education

Location: 4-Year-Old Program at Laura E. Richards School

Date Position Available: 2026-2027 School year

Qualifications: A valid Educational Technician III and current CHRC authorization through State of Maine Department of Education.

Description: MSAD #11 is seeking a team-oriented educator who demonstrates excellent communication skills, a high degree of self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.  The candidate should demonstrate an independent work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively with special educators, regular educators, service providers, and related professionals across a variety of educational settings.

This role includes supporting students in classroom, small-group, and community-based environments while helping to implement instructional and behavioral programming aligned with student needs. Experience in lesson planning, delivering small-group instruction, data collection, and working with students in early childhood special education is strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable taking initiative, engaging in instructional planning, and contributing to a collaborative educational team focused on student growth and independence.

Educational Technician Pay Scale (2026-2027)

Placement on the scale is dependent upon experience.
