Summary

Demonstrates expertise in adult education to enhance professional growth and development of employees. Utilizes ANA Standards of Practice for Nursing Professional Development to assess, diagnose, plan, and implement activities for individual and organizational development. Models Standards of Professional Performance for Nursing Professional Development. Provides expert consultant for continuing education, competency-based assessment, orientation, and training, Participates actively with interdisciplinary, collaborative task forces and committees.At least three years as a Registered Nurse with at least one year in the specialty. Classroom teaching experience and certification in specialty area desirable. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to function within the organizational structure. Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as working and planning independently. Ability to mentor and effect positive change. Strong knowledge in adult education. Demonstrate credentials as an instructor level status in AHA BCLS and other areas as assigned.Standing, walking, bending and lifting. Able to carry and manipulate equipment, work variable hours as needed. Must be flexible in use of time and physical space. Must possess auditory and visual acuity to accurately perform job functions. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
