As a world-renowned VR/AR brand with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, Pico has been at the forefront of the consumer electronic market. We have teams in Europe, Japan and South Korea. Now we are looking for experts in image pipeline to join us to build our AR/VR imaging team.

Responsibilities
- Face the challenge of low-power high-efficiency Edge AI system prototyping for future XR hardware projects including ultra-futuristic AR glasses and wearables.
- Develop, optimize. deploy and test ML models on NPU in wearable embedded systems running RTOS, Linux or Android systems. Optimize model efficiency and accuracy for thermal and power constrained wearables. Build and improve the accuracy of ML / CV models, including refining open-source models to solve specific problems for user experience.
- Work with firmware and software engineers to build and make Edge AI application usecases and demos on wearable AI hardware. Work with application developers to customize neural network architectures.
- Co-develop model optimization tools needed for training neural networks and architecture design space exploration. Write modular and efficient Machine Learning (ML) training pipelines and assist in building profiling and visualization tools for wearable hardware applications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science or related technical field with an emphasis on Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence
- 2+ years of experience in developing and training machine learning models.
- 2+ years of experience working with any deep learning frameworks, Tensorflow, Pytorch or JAX.
- Proficiency in C/C++

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in embedded software development using RTOS, Linux or Android.
- Experience working with Edge AI hardware like NPU in embedded systems.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $355000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
