Reports To: General Manager or Owner

We’re looking for an Estimator who thrives in structure, precision, and process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, stays deeply focused, and takes pride in getting the details right. If you’re a process-oriented expert who values accuracy, execution, and quality, you’ll feel right at home with our team.  What does an Estimator with Paul Davis do?
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates for restoration and reconstruction projects. 
  • Ensure alignment with company profitability targets and efficiency metrics. 
  • Supports overall marketing by building relationships with our clients and adjusters.
  • Provides scope of work for all activities of restoration and reconstruction work related to fire damage, water damage, mold or other related unexpected catastrophes. 
  • Estimates job scope and secures agreed price.
  • Works with the approving party/adjusters to come to a settlement amount that is fair for our clients, Paul Davis & the insurance company.
  • Hands off estimate product that sets up Project Managers to ensure jobs are completed as a Quality Job On Budget (QJOB).
  • Supports Project Managers in supplemental and change order needs.
  • Supports estimating team members in producing quality and consistent estimate products.
  • Supports Client Care Coordinators and invoicing
  • Supports the entire life cycle of a project.
  • Is a champion of practicing continuous improvement 
An Estimator in the restoration industry is a professional responsible for assessing property damage and determining the costs associated with repairing or rebuilding structures. They work closely with clients, insurance companies, and restoration teams to ensure accurate and efficient cost estimation. The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Proficiency in industry-specific software and excellent communication are also key to effectively negotiate and finalize estimates.

  • Compensation is evaluated on a yearly basis effective from the start date of employment of each calendar year. An annual reward planner (ARP) is completed at that time.

Leadership Skill Certification Program:
  •  IICRC WTR (Water Damage Restoration Technician)
  •  IICRC FSRT (Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician) 
  •  Xactimate Levels 1, 2, and 3 Certification 

Basic Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in Estimating, preferably in Restoration
  • Proficiency with estimating software. (CoreLogic Estimate, Xactimate, T&M Pro and CRM tools)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Excel knowledge and ability to create and review complex spreadsheets
