Job Description

The Principal Compliance Specialist – Compliance Testing and Monitoring Strategy is responsible for assisting with the administration and execution of the Testing and Monitoring Strategy Program within Corporate Compliance. The program is designed to promote compliance with applicable laws and regulations by facilitating early identification and effective mitigation of compliance risk. The principal compliance specialist will assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining the Program which includes providing on-going support to the shared services risk testing team. The position requires experience in the design and execution of compliance testing and reporting, as well as regulatory compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities 

  • Participate in the development of a multi-year compliance test plan and refresh annually to align with Compliance Risk Assessment.
  • Assist Enterprise Risk Testing regarding scope for scheduled compliance reviews.
  • Provide compliance advisory support during fieldwork to Enterprise Risk Testing to ensure proper understanding of regulatory requirements and testing is adequately designed to identify non-compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assist with finalizing findings including effective challenge of root cause analysis and corrective action plans and assignment of risk ratings.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of applicable Program documentation and procedures.
  • Assist with on-going reporting of progress against test plan, findings, and associated management resolution efforts.
  • Conduct meetings with stakeholders and other internal partners to review progress regarding annual compliance test plan and align on other related topics as needed.

Minimum Qualifications 

At a minimum, here is what we need from you: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field 
  • 6+ years of experience in compliance
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in compliance

Preferred Qualifications 

If we had our say, we would also look for: 

  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager
  • 8+ years of experience in Compliance

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
