Overview
The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership, student instruction, and student advising in the Aviation curriculum area. Specifically, this person will teach courses related to aircraft and avionics maintenance and repair.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Technology or related discipline. Required
- Master's Degree in Aviation Technology, Avionics Technology, Aviation Science, or related discipline. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Six (6) years of relevant trade experience to include; aviation mechanical/avionic experience on fixed wing aircraft and helicopter servicing. Required
- Secondary or postsecondary teaching experience Preferred
- Transport category aircraft maintenance experience. Preferred
- Avionics experience. Preferred
- Reciprocating engine overhaul experience. Preferred
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Possession of current, valid Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P). Required
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, administration, and the public. Required
- Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, staff, and the public. Required
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required
- Developed organizational skills. Required
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues. Required
- Possession of an Inspection Authorization license and/or Designated Mechanical Examiner license. Preferred
Responsibilities
- Instruct and evaluate student performance in Aviation theory and laboratory and/or shop work.
- Advise, schedule, and maintain accurate records on students as required by the college and the FAA.
- Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.
- Write and update course syllabi and job sheets; assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.
- Engage in professional development and technological upgrading activities.
- Contribute to the betterment of the College through School committee participation.
- Assume responsibility for laboratory development, supply ordering, coordination, and maintenance.
- Assist the Dean, Assistant Dean, and/or Department Head with the development and maintenance of outcomes assessment plans and documentation.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the betterment of the College through Collegewide committee participation.
- Assist with the preparation of grants and with follow up activities.

Commensurate with credentials submitted as applied to the College’s Faculty Salary System. As a point of reference, the salary range for new full-time faculty hired in various disciplines throughout the College for the 2025/26 academic year is $61,969 – $79,813College Statement
