Senior Network Engineer

Position Summary

• Leads the network team in the ongoing O&M support of a distributed networking environment.
• Have at least four (4) years of experience working with the TCP/IP networking environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience with networking technologies and capable of troubleshooting all levels of network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc.
• Strong knowledge and familiarity with Domain Names Services (DNS), Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers, ATM, Frame Relay, etc.
• Demonstrated experience managing/responding to trouble tickets from Help Desk automated trouble ticketing system.
• Extensive experience performing network-related hardware and software System Administration functions best suited for after hours, including patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, etc. to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.
• Hold and/or maintain a current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
• Public Trust clearance is required.
• This position is contingent upon award.
