Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer, Cloud to join our team. As the Senior Engineer, Cloud, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS and Azure platforms. You will collaborate closely with technology counterparts, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment, management, and governance of cloud-based services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, cloud automation, governance frameworks, and cloud security best practices. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure platforms. 
• Develop and implement cloud automation strategies to streamline operational processes and enhance efficiency. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable cloud solutions. 
• Work closely with technology counterparts to align cloud initiatives with overall IT strategy and architecture. 
• Implement and enforce cloud governance policies, ensuring adherence to security standards, compliance, and best practices. 
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and adoption of new cloud technologies, services, and tools to enhance system performance and cost-effectiveness. 
• Provide expertise in cloud security and ensure the implementation of robust security controls and practices. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. 
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity, and proactively identify areas for optimization and improvement. 
• Mentor and provide guidance to other engineering team members. 
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging cloud technologies, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team. 

Qualifications

• 5+ Years’ experience working as a Cloud Engineer, preferably in a senior or lead role. 
• Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms. 
• In-depth understanding of DevOps principles and experience with cloud automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation etc. 
• Proven track record of successfully implementing cloud governance frameworks and best practices. 
• Excellent understanding of cloud security concepts and hands-on experience with security controls and practices in a cloud environment. 
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technology counterparts and business stakeholders to deliver innovative cloud solutions. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues. 
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts, including VPN, DNS, load balancing, and routing in a cloud environment. 
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Azure certifications are highly desirable. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 
• Experience working within fast paced rapidly growing company.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $145,000 - $170,000
