Construction Inspector I or II

Come join our team in Kaufman/Rockwall Area Office, where we are overseeing approximately 1 billion in construction. Our roadway projects range in variety from ADA sidewalk improvements to over $100 million in freeway expansion projects. Our team of construction inspectors work alongside Engineers and the Contractor to review construction procedures, ensure that the specifications are being followed and test materials on a variety of items such as bridges, roadway, environmental compliance, etc. They work in a dynamic environment where every day is different. Our team gets to problem solve alongside contractors to keep major projects moving forward for the traveling public.

Salary Grade/Range

This position is for a Construction Inspector I or II.  The Texas Department of Transportation reserves the sole right in determining the level of position based on the applicant's work experience, education, skill level, and all other appropriate factors, and based on business needs.
