Description
We are seeking a highly organized, culturally fluent, and detail-oriented Artist Research Associate & Executive Assistant professional with strong knowledge of artists and contemporary art to support two CEOs across distinct but complementary functions.
This role is ideal for someone deeply engaged in the art world who also excels at executive-level administrative support.
This position is Split Between:
- Artist Research for one CEO (Approx. 50%)
- Executive Assistant for a second CEO (Approx. 50%)

Compensation:
$60k-$65k Salary, Based on Experience
Essential Functions:
· Conduct ongoing research on emerging, mid-career, and upcoming artists across contemporary art disciplines.
· Identify relevant art fairs, exhibitions, gallery shows, museum programs, and alternative spaces showcasing new talent.
· Track trends within the contemporary art market and cultural landscape.
· Prepare concise research briefs, artist profiles, and visual reference materials.
· Maintain organized databases of artists, galleries, curators, and institutions.
· Monitor art world publications, newsletters, and digital platforms for relevant developments.
· Support consulting initiatives through thoughtful research and insight gathering.
· Provide administrative and scheduling support to a CEO, including calendar management and meeting coordination.
· Assist with email correspondence, document preparation, and follow-ups.
· Organize travel arrangements and itineraries as needed.
· Prepare agendas, notes, and summaries for meetings.
· Act as a trusted point of contact with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
· Manage light project coordination and task tracking.
Requirements
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred in Art History, Fine Arts, Curatorial Studies, Visual Culture, Arts Administration, or a related field.
· Equivalent professional experience in the art world will be considered in lieu of formal education.
· Strong knowledge of contemporary art and artists, with a demonstrated interest in discovering new and emerging talents.
· Prior experience in the art world (gallery, museum, art advisory, studio, fair, publication, or related field) strongly preferred.
· Experience supporting executives, principals, or senior leadership.
· Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
· High level of discretion, professionalism, and reliability.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
· Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and basic research tools.
· Clear communicator with strong attention to detail.
