Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an opportunity for a Senior Aerospace Financing Specialist (Level 5) to join Customer Finance Team supporting commercial airplane sales and delivery financing with coverage in the Asia Pacific and India region, working out of Renton, Washington.

Boeing’s BCA Customer Finance organization is a global provider of financing solutions for our commercial airplane customers. These roles are considered key enablers for the entire Boeing enterprise in the ways they support creative financing that allows Boeing to win customer deals and maintain its position as a leader within the aviation industry.

This position will have a primary goal to provide financing solutions to support new commercial aircraft sales campaigns and ensure delivery availability of delivery financing for our commercial customers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of financing strategy and transaction structures to major Boeing Commercial Airplanes Sales support activities, placement of portfolio aircraft, capital market development, outreach activity, and infrastructure work

• Develop financing commitments to support airplane orders and deliveries from commercial banks, the United States (US) Export-Import Bank, leasing companies or direct financing from Boeing

• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of government – assisted financing programs including Export Credit Agencies (ECA’s), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) and Public Private Partnerships (PPP).

• Provide early stage customer financial screening and guidance for BCA to assist in sales campaign evaluation

• Sustain frequent contact with commercial and investment institutions that have the potential to arrange or participate in customer financing

• Position to minimize Boeing’s financial exposure in any customer finance solution by actively utilizing third-party sources of funding and maintaining appropriate economic returns.

• Serve as a key integrator and leader between many different business units and functions internally to help deliver unique and customized solutions. The primary internal relations in this role include senior leaders and working level staff within: BCA Sales, Revenue Management, Contracts, Legal, Risk, Pricing, Asset Management, Tax, Marketing, and Boeing Global Services (BGS)

• Effectively interface on a daily basis with the BCA Sales Directors and their individual Sales Team members

• Maintain excellent working relations with BCA and BGS and be considered a fully integrated member of the sales campaign teams

• Effectively represent BCA Customer Finance to senior management levels of Boeing, BCA, BGS and the financial community

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher

• 5+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or related role

• 3+ years of experience giving presentations and public speaking

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of experience working in the aviation industry

• 3+ years of experience directly managing client accounts

• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, international finance, commercial banking, investment banking and/or related fields

• Experience with financial institutions like banks, Ex-Im bank, etc.

• Experience producing investment packages

• Fundamental understanding of domestic and international money and capital markets

• Experience in methods of financing (e.g. lease, debt, etc.) to include general legal, accounting, and tax aspects of structured finance

• Computer proficiency in financial modeling and presentation development

• Experience collaborating and influencing in a highly-matrixed and global environment.

• Strong negotiation skills for leading transactional activities
