As a Senior Engineering Manager, your duties will include planning, designing, and overseeing projects, managing finances, and supervising one or more engineering teams.
 

As a Senior Engineer Manager working for Waygate Technologies Visual business, you will be responsible for: 

• Leading a diverse global software team to develop embedded firmware and software to delight our customers while being on-time and within budget.

• Collaborating with our cross-functional teams to define requirements, deploy software to production, and support customers via our tech support and quality teams.

• Driving a continuous improvement mindset.

• Mentoring, career growth, and skills/competency development of the team.

• Partnering with the cloud team on hybrid edge/cloud solutions.

• Collaborating with customers on joint development agreements.

• Deploying edge analytics.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 10 years of related work experience or a master's degree with 7 years of related work experience.

• Have a minimum of 3 years experience managing people. 

• Be proficient with agile methodologies.

• Have experience working with embedded software or video Pipeline work.

• Have experience working with embedded firmware.

• Have experience bringing software architects together to determine the optimal solutions.

• Have experience developing detailed software schedules that integrate with the overall cross-functional project schedules.

• Have experience working with global teams.

• Have experience creating statements of work for time and material or fixed bid contracts.
