Summary
In this position you will get the opportunity to help advise on international supply chain optimization projects for existing and potential DSV customers, work with the latest SCM approaches and tools and ensure that we continuously look for ways to improve our analytical competencies and capabilities.
As an Analyst, you will be working closely with the other analysts and advisors and be part of a global team. You will take lead on analytical tasks (e.g. network design and transport optimization problems) related to specific customer projects as well as assist and drive internal projects that will enable us to take our supply chain capabilities to the next level.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and execute optimization projects with existing and potential DSV customers
- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and identify strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners within optimization projects
- Present complex analysis results in a simple, clear and concise fashion
- Translate analytical results into tangible action
- Utilize supply chain management software and tools to support data analysis and decision-making
- Help define and develop new data analysis tools and services
Educational background / Work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related field post-graduation
- Experience with data analysis and supply chain modeling
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in performing data analysis
- Knowledge of supply chain management concepts and practices
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and data analysis
- Familiarity with optimization theory and location modelling is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
