About the role
Job Description
As a Medior Account Manager in Financial Services at Capgemini Group in the Netherlands, you will support the growth of our client relationships within the financial sector, with a strong focus on one of the largest banks in the Netherlands.
You will work closely with senior account leadership, delivery teams, and internal practices to identify opportunities, coordinate staffing and solution requests, and help ensure a professional client experience.
Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain day-to-day relationships with client stakeholders in the identified Field of Play (FOP). Develop a good understanding of client needs, challenges, and priorities, and involve the right Capgemini colleagues where needed.
- Account Development: Support the identification and qualification of sales opportunities within existing accounts, ranging from individual consultant requests to smaller solution opportunities. Collaborate with internal CG practice teams to shape relevant responses.
- Sales Planning: Contribute to account plans and sales activities under guidance of senior sales and delivery leadership. Translate agreed priorities into practical actions and follow-up.
- Opportunity Identification: Stay close to client developments, open requests, and internal pipeline discussions to spot potential opportunities early. Work with the wider account team to ensure a coordinated approach.
- Client Focus: Help strengthen client satisfaction by following up on requests, connecting the right people, and ensuring clear communication. Act as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day account topics.
- Commercial Coordination: Support commercial processes such as proposals, extensions, contract follow-up, and internal approvals. Work with legal, CCM, SalesOps, and senior account leadership where required.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain accurate account, pipeline, booking, and opportunity information. Support timely reporting and help identify where follow-up is needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with delivery teams, staffing, solution architects, and internal practices to coordinate requests and support the preparation of clear client responses.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Marketing, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- Around 3–5 years of relevant experience in sales, (account management, recruitment, staffing, consulting, or client-facing) roles, preferably within IT consultancy or Financial Services.
- Industry Knowledge: Good interest in, and basic understanding of, the Financial Services industry in the Netherlands. Familiarity with IT services, sourcing, consulting, or staffing is a plus.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Strong communication in Dutch & English is required, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills. Able to build trust with clients and colleagues, while knowing when to involve senior colleagues for guidance or escalation.
- Results-Driven: A proactive and structured mindset with the drive to contribute to revenue, bookings, and client satisfaction targets. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
