<li><span><span><span><strong>Work hours: Between the hours of 5:30AM – 9:00PM</strong></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><strong>Part-Time, Seasonal, Hourly, Non-Exempt Position </strong></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><strong>Work Location: We operate multiple pools within the district. Work location will be assigned at time of hire.</strong></span></span></span></li>

<p><span><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Under direct or general supervision from the Recreation Supervisor, provides aquatic safety, supervision, and instruction for the patrons in the District Learn to Swim Program. Receives direct or general supervision from assigned supervisory or management personnel. Exercises general supervision and provides training to other staff.</span></p>

<p><span><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS</strong></span></p>
<p><span>This is the journey-level classification in the Water Safety Instructor series. This class can be distinguished from the class of Water Safety Instructor in that the incumbents in this class leads the Water Safety Instructors and the entire Learn to Swim program at a District Swim Center.</span></p>

<p><span><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Incumbents may not perform all duties. Duties include but are not limited to the following:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span>All duties and responsibilities of a Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, and Head Lifeguard</span></li>
<li><span>Conducts proper opening and closing procedures of the aquatic facilities</span></li>
<li><span>Assists in all staff trainings</span></li>
<li><span>Analyzes program needs and recommends new and innovative program ideas</span></li>
<li><span>Sets up proper furniture arrangements, equipment, and facility maintenance</span></li>
<li><span>Works as a lead with Water Safety Instructors offering assistance in maintaining the proper execution of all aspects of the Learn to Swim program</span></li>
<li><span>Provides supervision and training to all employees within the assigned program area including lifeguards.</span></li>
<li><span>Ensures all District policies are followed during all programs, special events and facility use</span></li>
<li><span>Provides customer service and problem solving</span></li>
<li><span>Performs functions of registration software applications</span></li>
<li><span>Prepares daily deposits and reconciles daily reports, ensures that all revenues received at assigned sites are accounted for and properly entered</span></li>
<li><span>Performs other duties as assigned</span></li>
