Position Title: Career & Technical Resource Education Paraprofessional
Location: West Fargo High School
Department: Paraprofessionals
Reports To: Principal
Term: Recurring 182-day position following school calendar starting with the 26-27 school year
Schedule: Mon-Fri. Approx. 6.8 hours/day.
Salary: Position follows the Classified Salary Schedule 2026-2027 at A134. Starting salary begins at $18.75-$20.95/hour, based on experience.

SUMMARY: The Career & Technical Resource Education (CTRE) Paraprofessional works under the supervision of a teacher to provide small group instruction to learners and supports learners with differing abilities in the classroom or small group settings

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
Collaboration:
- Supports the teacher in order to provide additional intervention for learners.
- Develops positive, effective working relationships with learners and staff.
Communication:
- Demonstrates effective communication as a liaison between the learner, CTRE, and community business partners.
- Reinforces lessons presented by teacher by reviewing materials with learners one-on-one or in a small group.
- Connects and shares ideas through appropriate/applicable formats to express thoughts and ideas with integrity.

- Understands the complexities of cultural and global issues and how they relate to employee and learners' experiences.
- Partners with others to resolve potential controversy and conflict through respectful discussion.
- Proactively seeks to understand the ideas, opinions, and skills of others.

- Demonstrates willingness to create and support our simulated craft business which includes a variety of technical applications such as wood working, craft painting, Cricut & vinyl applications.
- Proposes ideas for possible crafts to market.
- Executes art projects under the guidance of the CTRE/Career Development classroom teacher(s).

Responsibility:
- Transports learners to arranged locations in school vehicle.
- Acts as work role model in daily activities, community work-based outings and assignments.
- Supervise learners in resource class, Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) lab, and volunteer worksites.
- Enforces school and classroom rules to help teach learners appropriate behaviors (CHAMPS).
- Monitor learners in class, between classes, and during lunch and recess.
