Job Summary
This leader will be responsible for the end-to-end development of variable incentive-based sales compensation plans. This role will create plans that are aligned to company financial targets, drive employee engagement and strengthens employee retention. Working closely with the Sales leaders and sales administration teams, this leader will be responsible for the oversight of sales plan development, implementation, and program improvements in overall HCSC sales effectiveness. This leader will partner with the sales administration team in managing the sales compensation administration process including performance reporting, employee communication and payouts.Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting the sales incentive compensation strategy and sales compensation programs in alignment with total rewards strategy to achieve business and HR objectives.
Proactively recommends enhancements or changes to current sales compensation programs, policies, and processes for both immediate and long-term objectives, ensuring programs and practices remain innovative, efficient, and effective. Drive the design and delivery of sales compensation programs in line with business needs, culture, and values.
Develops education and communication material and meets with sales leaders to ensure program understanding among sales incentive eligible employees.
Support recommendations for internal and external offers.
Supports the administration of sales incentives, including payout modeling, managing results communication and participant award administration and communications, online administration tools and vendor relationships.
Oversees sales incentive plan analysis related to cost and trends and provides analytical data management support for measurement and tracking of goals in conjunction with sales administration team.
Models potential impact of design changes and maintains awareness of the latest trends, regulations and competitive intelligence regarding sales compensation.
Oversees compliance of sales incentive compensation programs with industry, local, state and federal regulations and directs appropriate courses of action; serves as an escalation point for internal and external audits/inquiries.
Collaborates with Corporate and Executive Compensation leaders in management of job evaluation/leveling philosophy and approach and supports the sales population through the annual planning process.
Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Mathematics, Finance, Business or related field required.
10 years of experience in compensation with 5 years of experience in sales compensation
5 years of experience in a management position
Sales compensation expertise required, preferably including a working knowledge of technical areas impacting sales compensation (sales incentives, commissions, allowances, guarantees, bridges, overrides, sales compensation benchmarking/market pricing, governance, trends)
Significant level of consulting skills, strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Heavily skilled at mathematical modeling, specifically related to sales compensation design alternatives
Experience in the design and development of sales compensation strategies and plans
Excellent financial/business acumen and analytical abilities combined with a clear focus on thoroughness and quality
Ability to influence through expertise, data, experiences, and relationships
Executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work within a complex matrix organization structure
Ability to handle sensitive information, and to act with discretion and judgment while maintaining confidentiality
Knowledge of the external market, competition and regulatory environment to create value for the enterprise
